Learning is an educational adventure where children are encouraged to follow their natural curiosity, intelligence, imagination and emotions to ask questions and to explore ideas, thereby gaining a greater understanding of the world in which they live.
The Reggio Emilia philosophy emphasises that children make their thinking visible through many natural ‘languages’.
Children have different ways of expressing their understandings and this can be done using a range of different media and tools. This approach has evolved from the recognition that young children have the capacity to theorise, experiment and express their findings in many different ways to communicate what they know, comprehend, wonder about, question, feel and imagine.
